2. Account Registration

• Maintain the security of your password and accept responsibility for all activities under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

3. User Obligations

As a user of PataElimu, you agree to:

• Use the Platform only for lawful purposes
• Complete courses and assignments honestly without cheating
• Respect the intellectual property rights of instructors and the platform

4. Course Enrollment

When enrolling in courses on PataElimu:

• You gain access to course materials for the duration specified
• Course completion certificates are earned upon meeting all requirements
• Instructors may set prerequisites for advanced courses
• We reserve the right to cancel or modify courses with reasonable notice

5. Payments and Refunds

For paid courses and services:

• All payments are processed securely through mobile money (M-Pesa, Airtel Money, Tigo Pesa)
• We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee for course dissatisfaction
• Refund requests must be submitted within 30 days of purchase
• We reserve the right to change pricing with notice to enrolled students

6. Intellectual Property

The Platform and its content are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws:

• All course content is owned by instructors or PataElimu
• You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without permission
• You retain ownership of your submitted assignments and projects

7. User Generated Content

For content you submit to the Platform:

• You grant PataElimu a license to display and distribute your content
• You represent that you own or have permission to share the content
• We may remove content that violates these Terms

8. Prohibited Conduct

You may not engage in any of the following prohibited activities:

• Posting false, misleading, or fraudulent information
• Harassing, abusing, or threatening other users
• Attempting to hack, disrupt, or bypass security measures
• Using bots, scrapers, or automated tools without permission
• Impersonating another person or entity
• Uploading malicious code or viruses

9. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice, for conduct that violates these Terms:

• Upon termination, your right to use the Platform will cease immediately
• Sections that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• PataElimu is provided 'as is' without warranties of any kind
• We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for courses
